Teaching Programs This partial list of teaching programs in study of world or global history provides links for each institution listed: California State University, Long Beach, California - This program is managed through the College of Education, as part of the Department of History's Social Science Credential Program. San Diego State University, California - Under the aegis of the Department of History, the SDSU Program of Social Sciences prepares graduates to teach world history, United States history, geography, government, and economics in junior high and high school. State University of New York, Fredonia, New York State - The Master of Science in Education, Social Studies Adolescence (M.S.Ed., SSA) program offered at SUNY Fredonia has two major emphases, United States history and Global history, to coordinate with New York State's emphasis in secondary education on both of these foci.
